Jump Rope Drills For Quick Feet!

Did you know that Running is actually a plyometric activity?

Plyometrics = aka jump training or Plyos are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power (speed-strength).

The goal is to reduce contact time with the ground and requires a quick muscle stretch and shorten cycle. Think of pulling a rubber band and then quickly releasing it!

In this video , @ironptmom is demonstrating a few of her favorite jump rope drills to train quick feet while challenging the coordination of her core and pelvic floor.

Can you land softly and impact with the ground and your feet?
Can you jump and open your legs (like jumping jacks) without peeing?
Can you do the double unders without peeing or leaking?
Does your 1 legged hop on your Right feel the same as your Left?
Is jumping Pain-free?

If you’d answered NO to any of the above, we can help! DM or go to link in BIO if you’d like some help to improve your running, that’s our specialty: We help people run pain and leak free while setting PR’s.
