Running = 3-5x Bodyweight

This photo was taken from @jaydicharry’s book “Running Rewired” and does a great job illustrating the forces required to run 🏃‍♀️. Many of the injured runners we treat in our practice are simply not ready to run: 1) that pace 2) that distance 3) just not ready to run period. ❇️When you have a Run injury, there is a mismatch between the capacity (strength) or aka tissue tolerance and the load (the stress/workout demands). ❇️The workout demand has outpaced your strength or ability to withstand load. ❇️So if you want to run well and healthy, you can either 1) Increase your capacity or your ability to withstand load of running (strength train) or 2) Decrease the load
